10 Hour Construction Outreach Training with Study Guide

Course Description:

The OSHA Ten Hour Construction Outreach Training course has been reviewed and accepted by OSHA for online distribution. 

The 10 Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide an entry level construction worker's general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site. OSHA recommends Outreach Training Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of the job. 

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach DOL course completion card within 4-6 weeks. In order to receive your OSHA Outreach DOL course completion card you must complete the survey at the end of the course.

Over the past three years, over 1.3 million students have received construction safety training through this program. 

Time to completion: 

Once you enroll in the OSHA 10 Hour Construction Outreach Training course you will have 6 months to successfully complete the course and the survey. If you do not complete the course and survey in 6 months you will not receive a certificate for course completion.

Upon completion of the course, passing participants will receive a temporary certificate of completion. Within 4-8 weeks, you will receive an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach DOL course completion card. Laminated cards now available!

  • Module 3A: Health Hazards: Hazard Communication

  • Module 3B: Health Hazards: Hazardous Materials

  • Module 4: Cranes and Rigging

  • Module 5: Focus Four: Electrical Safety

  • Module 6: Struck- By and Caught in Between

  • Module 7: Fall Protection

  • Module 8: Personal Protective Equipment

  • Module 9: Hand and Power tools

  • Module 10: Scaffolds

  • Module 11: Stairways and Ladders

  • Final Exam

Testing: 

All module quizzes require a score of 70 to proceed forward in the course. The final exam also requires a minimum score of 70 to receive a certificate of completion. The final exam may be taken three times if necessary.

You will find supplementary materials available for download by clicking the "Materials" tab on the menu located within the course player. Other reference materials are available from the OSHA website; please visit www.osha.gov.

As you proceed, please be aware of the help that is available to you for any problems you may come across as you take the course. When taking this course please be aware of the time limits on both your login session and the course itself. For your login session, please feel free to take as long as you wish at any given time, but be aware that if you remain idle (staying on the same page) for 15 minutes then you will be logged out of the session and you will have to log in and rejoin the course where stopped previously.

As for the course itself, please remember that you have six months from the time you start this course to complete it in order to receive credit. After six months, your account will expire and you will be required to purchase the course again if you wish to complete it.

At the end of each module, you will be given a 10 question module quiz. You must score at least 70% on each module quiz to move forward in the course. You will be given up to three opportunities to pass each module quiz. Failure to successfully pass the quiz will result in being locked out of the course and not allowed to continue with an online training format for your outreach training.

Once you have successfully completed all of the modules, you must pass a final exam to receive full credit for the course. The exam is 20 questions long and will test your knowledge on information covered throughout the course. You must make a score of at least 70% to pass this course. You will be given up to three opportunities to pass the final exam; if you do not pass it after three tries, you will be locked out of this course will no longer be able to take your outreach training in an online format.

Do the OSHA 10 & 30 Hour courses meet the training requirements set by the OSHA 1910 and 1926 Standards?
Yes, they do.

Has OSHA approved the OSHA Outreach courses?
Y
es, OSHA has reviewed the course material and they have accepted it for online usage. Participants receive the same Department of Labor (DOL) card that is given for taking the live class.

Must I complete my course in one sitting?

No! You do not have to complete a session in one sitting. At the end of a section, you can log out and when you log back in, all of your information will be saved.

Is there a time restriction on completing the OSHA 10 and 30 Hour Outreach Courses? 

Yes. The OSHA 10 and 30 Hour Outreach courses and  OSHA mandated end of course survey must be completed within six months of the course start date.  

I have taken the 10/30 Hour Outreach Training course. When will I receive my OSHA card?
Upon completion of the course, you will receive a temporary certificate of completion. In 4-8 weeks, you will receive your official card from OSHA and the Department of Labor in the mail. The current status of your DOL card can be found by calling or emailing 360training.

I forgot my User Name and Password. What do I do?
If you have forgotten your password, click the “Student Login” button at the top of the page. Then click the "forgot password" link below the student login. Then enter your email address. You should receive an email to your email address stating your password. 

I completed the modules in the outreach training course, why can't I access the final exam?
The rate of time it takes for a student to complete the modules will vary by student. OSHA's Outreach Training Program-Online Training Guidelines mandates that all students spend 10 or 30 hours in the respective courses. Any student that has spent less than the required 10 or 30 hours in the course must return to the course to review content that is key to them or visit other available course modules to meet OSHA's timing requirement. 

How do I go back and reprint my certificate of course completion?
Click on the login button on the top of the course page, and log in using your username and password. Click on the certificate icon next to the course title you would like to reprint. You can print your certificate anytime after finishing the course. 

I lost my 10/30 Hour Outreach Training Completion Card, how do I get another one?
Please contact our customer support team at 888-360-TRNG with your information to receive a replacement card.

What do I receive when I complete a HAZWOPER course(s)?
You will receive a printable certificate upon successful completion of the HAZWOPER course(s).
